NoShowText Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-10-29

These terms are between you, the business subscribing (“you”, the “subscriber”), and GedDev, LLC, doing business as NoShowText, PO Box 889, Arcata, CA 95518 (“NoShowText”, “we”). By starting a trial or using the service you agree to them. If you are signing up for a company, you confirm you can bind it.

1. What the service is

NoShowText connects to your Google Calendar or Calendly account, texts each client a reminder 24 hours and 2 hours before their appointment from a shared NoShowText toll-free number, and delivers their replies to your mobile. Clients can reply C to confirm, R to reschedule (we send your reschedule link, or tell you), X to cancel, or in plain words, which we pass to you. You get a daily summary by text and can pause, resume and answer relayed messages by text. Reminders are sent only between 8am and 9pm in the client’s local time. The messages are NoShowText templates; you choose the business name they show, not the wording.

The service texts United States mobile numbers only. It is not an emergency or time-critical system; delivery depends on carriers.

2. Trial, price and billing

Every account starts with a 14-day free trial. A payment card is required at sign-up. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged $39 per month from the day after the trial ends and every month after, until you cancel. Stripe emails you a reminder before the first charge. Prices do not include any sales tax that may apply where you are; we will add it only if the law requires us to collect it.

If a charge fails we retry for about two weeks and email you. Reminders keep going during that time. If the card still fails, sending stops until it is paid, and your data is kept for 30 days after the subscription ends.

We may change the price with 30 days’ notice by email, effective from your next billing date after the notice. There is no per-text charge and no monthly cap on reminders, subject to section 4.

3. Cancelling

Cancel any time from the billing portal linked on your settings page, with no call or email needed. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period you are in. Payments already made are not refunded, except where the law requires it or we got something wrong. Thirty days after the subscription ends we delete your account data as the Privacy Policy describes.

4. Acceptable use

The texting number is shared by every subscriber and is verified with carriers for appointment reminders only. Anything that puts it at risk puts every subscriber at risk, so these rules are strict:

  • Reminders only. You may not use NoShowText to send marketing, promotions, review requests, surveys, payment collection or anything other than appointment reminders and the replies to them. The templates do not allow it and neither do we.
  • You must have consent. You confirm that every mobile number you connect was given to you by the client for appointment communication, that the client saw the NoShowText consent notice (on your booking form, or shown by you for Google Calendar bookings), and that you will not add a number for anyone who asked not to be texted.
  • Reply content. Replies you send through R go to the client under your business name. They must be about the appointment. No links, no offers, no abuse.
  • Your clients’ data. You are the controller of your clients’ information; we process it for you. Do not put health, financial or other sensitive detail in event titles or replies.
  • No circumvention. No reselling, no scraping, no sharing one account across businesses you do not own, no use of the sample tool to text anyone but yourself.

We may suspend or end an account that breaks these rules, immediately where the number’s carrier standing is at stake, otherwise after notice.

5. Your calendar and your account

You grant us permission to read your connected calendar as the Privacy Policy describes. We never write to it. Disconnect it any time; reminders stop when you do. Keep your owner mobile number current: commands texted from it are treated as yours.

6. Carrier and delivery disclaimers

Text delivery depends on Twilio, the carriers and the client’s handset, and messages can be delayed, filtered or dropped for reasons outside our control. We do not guarantee that any reminder is delivered or read, that a reply reaches you by any particular time, or that a reminder prevents a no-show. A client who replies STOP receives no further texts from us for any business, and we cannot override that. The client’s carrier charges are the client’s.

7. Service level and changes

We do not promise uptime. We may change features, add or remove calendar integrations, or stop the service with 30 days’ notice, refunding any prepaid amount for the period after shutdown. Changes needed for legal or carrier compliance may be made at once.

8. Ownership

We own the service, its templates and its code. You own your business information and your clients’ data; we use it only to provide the service. You may use the consent sentence we give you on your own booking forms.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing here is legal advice; you remain responsible for your own compliance with the TCPA, state law and carrier rules.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, NoShowText is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost revenue, lost bookings or no-shows, however caused. Our total liability for anything arising from the service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, or $39 if you paid nothing. Some states do not allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as that state permits.

11. Indemnity

You will cover us against claims, fines and costs arising from your breach of section 4, including any claim that a client did not consent to texts you had us send.

12. Governing law and disputes

California law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Humboldt County, California, unless small-claims court is available to you where you live. Before filing, email hello@noshowtext.com and give us 30 days to sort it out.

13. Changes to these terms

We will post changes here with a new effective date and email you at least 14 days before a material change takes effect. Using the service after that date is acceptance; if you do not agree, cancel first.
