Appointment reminder texts for pet groomers
A groomer's day is a chain of back-to-back slots, so one no-show leaves a gap you cannot fill with a walk-in. NoShowText texts each client the day before and two hours before, and any "running late" lands on your own phone.
- NoShowText for Harbor Paws: Your appointment is Sat at 9:00 AM. Reply C to confirm, R to reschedule, X to cancel. Reply STOP to opt out.
- NoShowText for Harbor Paws: Your appointment is today at 9:00 AM. Reply C to confirm, R to reschedule, X to cancel. Reply STOP to opt out.
- NoShowText for Harbor Paws: Cancelled: Sat at 9:00 AM. Harbor Paws has been told. Reply here to rebook. Reply STOP to opt out.
A day in the life with NoShowText
Dogs are booked tight and prices are per visit, so a missed slot is a missed meal for you. Owners forget, and Google Calendar has sent no text reminders since 2019. A text the day before, with a one-letter way to cancel, opens the slot while you can still fill it.
Here is how a normal day runs once NoShowText is connected. Twenty-four hours before each appointment, your client gets a text from “NoShowText for Harbor Paws Grooming”. They reply C to confirm, R to reschedule or X to cancel, or they type a few words of their own. Two hours before, a second, shorter text goes out unless they have already confirmed, in which case they get a gentler note instead. If a client texts something like “running 10 late”, we pass it straight to your own cell, so “running 10 late” tells you whether to keep the next dog on schedule. At 5 pm you get one short summary of tomorrow: who confirmed, who cancelled, who has not answered.
What your client sees
This is the real 24 hour text, with a sample business name:
NoShowText for Harbor Paws Grooming: Your appointment is Tue Nov 4 at 3:00 PM. Reply C to confirm, R to reschedule, X to cancel. Reply STOP to opt out.
It starts with the business name so the client knows who is writing. It has one action, three one-letter answers, and the opt-out line. Texts go out between 8 am and 9 pm in the client’s time zone, never in the middle of the night.
Privacy for pet groomers
Reminders carry only your business name, a day and a time, and the reply keywords. They never include prices, a pet’s name or a coat condition. Clients can save the number and will always see the same one.
Setup in five minutes
Connect Google Calendar or Calendly, tell us where the owner’s mobile number sits in the booking (a line in the description works well for groomers), and add one consent sentence to your booking form. Both Google Calendar and Calendly work today. Nothing in your calendar is changed. After you connect, you get one text on your own phone saying you are live, and from then on every new booking is picked up on its own. If you ever need a quiet week, text PAUSE and reminders stop until you text RESUME, while client replies still reach you. A short settings page lets you set your business name, time zone, and the booking link clients get when they ask to reschedule.
Price
$39 a month, flat. There is a 14-day free trial, a card is needed up front, and you can cancel any time from the billing portal. There is no per-text cap.
Questions
Does it work with Google Calendar?
Yes. Google stopped sending text reminders in 2019. NoShowText reads your calendar, finds the owner's mobile number using a rule you choose, and sends the text.
What happens when an owner cancels by text?
They reply X. The reminders for that booking stop, you get a text saying the slot is open, and the owner is told they can rebook.
Is there a limit on texts?
No. Every appointment gets both reminders and there is no monthly count.
Will clients know who the text is from?
Yes. Every text starts with NoShowText for, then your business name.
